SOLID 3D MODEL VIEW, SHOWING COLOUR SHADING OF OBJECTS

TopoCAD can display and plot colour rendered objects in either 2-D or 3-D mode. Objects are built using wire frame creation, in either mode. Object faces are defined using the Figure Hatch Command. Thereafter, a single command will display the defined objects in rendered mode, using any selected colour base.

Once displayed, the object view position and scale may be varied using single keyboard commands. Rendered objects may be displayed in a single base colour, using colour shading (as above), or displayed in the colours as constructed.

TopoCAD will also show 3-D rendered surfaces using either surface triangles (generated in SURPAC) or DTM grid rectangles as the rendering objects.

The Previous page shows an example of a rendered 3-D surface, with the contours superimposed on the surface. It also shows the TopoCAD Floating Toolbar which contins some of the more common commands used in TopoCAD and is used for rapid command execution.
