GRAPHICAL DISPERSION OF A DATABASE QUERY WITH A NUMERICAL DISPLAY
|
|
Data Records can be spatially linked to positions on the Sheet, allowing for visual representations of Query results. The VisData application included with TopoCAD allows for creating SQL Query extractions, using multiple criteria. The created Database Tables and Queries can be viewed graphically, or numerically, and obviously can be run under the Microsoft Access, or compatible, software. Database information, in the form of User created Queries, may be used to generate User designed Charts. These Charts may added to the Sheet in the form of a BitMap inclusion, or may be plotted as separate, stand alone, items. This Database feature provides TopoCAD with a very usable GIS facility. Users are free to define their own Database Tables containing whatever Fields are appropriate to the current Sheet usage. The [FA] - Figure Area Command, for example, can be used automatically load up spatial [Y, X, Z] information, Stand or Lot Name, and the Figure Area into a Database Record. This only requires two mouse clicks. These created Records can then be extended by adding in other required information. |
