CO-ORDINATE EDITING DISPLAY FOR A TOWNSHIP OR SUBDIVISION LAYOUT

TopoCAD uses a unique screen search technique to identify a surrounding Figure of the correct layer colour. Hence, users do not have to point out the boundary bend points for the computer to carry out a Figure Area calculation, for example.

TopoCAD allows on-screen Calculations such as Joins, Polars, Areas and Intersections, for rapid calculation of new Points and/or Lines.

TopoCAD makes use of Contour and DTM files generated through SURPAC. Contours may be modified on-screen. Contours generated by Triangulation may be used to create solid shaded 3-D models of a surveyed area. DTMs may also be used to create solid models using height related colour differentiation.

TopoCAD uses DTM data to carry out on-screen, 3-D digitizing. Hence road grades etc. may quickly be computed by means of screen digitizing of required points.
